Surprisingly, the workshop called in the morning to come and collect the car.
She is back from the hospital. Dr. Shehzad has made the old girl all better. As good as new. Here is the before and after shots of the wing. That is yours truly reflected in the wing with my trusty old Nokia N8.
BTW, all pictures in this thread have been taken by the same phone. Technology has come a long way since my first camera phone, the Nokia 3650 with a VGA camera (0.3 Mp) to the 12 Mp of my N8; and that is not the biggest boy on the block. That credit goes to the new Nokia Lumia 1020 with a 41 Mp camera!!
Anyway, for now very happy at the quality of the job.
Now to move on to other jobs such arresting that annoying oil leak from the gearbox. To get to the gearbox, access is from inside the car. Seats, carpets and floorboards have to be removed. Then the engine has to be supported on blocks whilst the gearbox is separated from the engine and withdrawn from inside the car. This cartoon captures the job at hand rather well:)
More on that later when I get to the job; but for now I am happy just motoring about in it.
