I have never seen such an unprofessional and the complex process ever in my life. I purchased a Kia Stonic EX+ brand new from the showroom. However, to become the car's first registered owner, I had to pay the owner's tax, as the invoice was initially made in someone else's name. Upon registration in my name, I received the return file and car registration card. Unfortunately, a fire erupted in my home a few weeks later, resulting in the loss of all car-related documents. Now, obtaining a duplicate copy of the file necessitates a duplicate invoice. Kia stipulates that the invoice can only be issued to the original car purchaser. However, the original purchaser is currently abroad. Nevertheless, we possess his ID card, an FIR related to the incident, and a newspaper advertisement confirming the circumstances. How can we now get a duplicate return file from Civic Center and what will be the cost if, the person is not willing to sign for the duplicate invoice or not available. As I went to Society Motors showroom and these guys were not at all helpful. I had to buy Sportage but, changed my mind and will stick to Honda as their after sale support is far better then them.
