So Today I was driving my Vitz 2005 1KR FE Engine car, suddenly in Driving mode (D gear ) my back camera view appeared on my screen and the letter "D" for Drive mode disappeared from the dashboard, car was driving normally though (almost), I parked the car and checked that reverse light is keeping "ON" in D, S, as well together with normal R where it should be ON and all three letters of Gear R, D and S are not displaying on the dashboard, P, N and B are displaying normally are working correctly.
I did some research and looks like it appears to be a problem in Park Neutral Position (PNP) Switch, can anyone who have experienced this or know what to do next please let me know.
also kindly suggest a good technician (electrician or mechanic) for this problem in Karachi.
I also think after this issue I am feeling the acceleration pedal is heavy as if the CVT transmission is not responding correctly.
P.S. I had to drive the car recently in heavy rain as it started on my way back to home and I drove about 15 Kms in heavy rain, I guess there is some electrical sensor problem happened due to rain water going where it shouldn't go, (I am not sure though)
