Bro Belta is quite spacious from inside, I do agree that Corolla in dimensions is a bigger car.

My comparison is between Corolla 1.3 auto vs 1.0 Belta.
Other Corolla Variants are far superior and would be a definite choice. And if you don't have a problem with Manual, 1.3 Manual Corolla is sufficient too.
City is slow in automatic, but manual City gives more driving pleasure than Corolla.

The only reason to write this article is that in terms of driving 1.3 auto Corolla and 1.0 Belta are quite similar. Both are slow but good family cars but with a big price difference.

In same budget Civic Rebirth is a completely different beast, feels like a proper upgrade from Belta or even Reborn is an excellent drive. But in 2.0 million Corolla 1.3 auto doesn't feel like an upgrade from Belta.
Corolla do enjoy better resale and market value but if keeping money safe is the only object why not invest in Bonds.

1.3 auto Corolla is ok to drive. The first 2 gear are powerful enough.
Underpowered means its engine will stress alot for performance thus giving a bad fuel average. It still will not give you a very spirited drive if you are into that kind of thing.

For example on the hills it will struggle to climb with load but wont give up whereas a 1.6 or above Corolla will climb with ease.

Recently sat in a Belta and i found it to be pretty roomy compared to 11 gen corolla. Corolla is okay in city and motorway driving. Even manual is underpowered on steep roads.

Agreed, Corolla is reliable. From inside Belta is sufficiently spacious and you will be surprised by it's boot space.

Better Suspension
Better braking
Might be a tiny bit slower.
How would you conclude it is way worse than corolla?

Bhai even new generation bta..aka VIOS is rated under corolla in xomfort and space. 1.3 corolla is no doubt an underpowered car but still better than Corolla. Belta is roomy like city but corolla has bigger room bhai. Ap dimensions compare ker lain. 1.0 has lot of vibration plus for a sedan...1.0 is just not enough.

First time when i sat in belta i was expecting it to be cramped but actually was surprised at how much leg and head room i had. Maybe that's why i feel that way. Agreed 1.0l in a sedan doesn't make much sense. Vitz vibrates like crazy wondering what belta would be like.

Sir g a friend changed all mountings and situation got better...but mountings are costly replacement

Bro lets take about power to weight Ratio

Belta 1.0 - 70hp/990kg = 0.0707
Corolla 1.3 - 84/1275 = 0.065

Clearly Belta has better power to weight ratio, hence making it a better sedan than 1.3 Corolla on paper.

Just for comparison

1.3 Swift - 90/1050 = .0857
1.3 City - 100/1155 = 0.0865
1.6 altis - 120/1275 = .09411
1.5 City - 120/1155 = 0.1038
1.8 Altis - 138/1275 = 0.1082
1.8 Civic - 138/1267 = 0.1089
1.5H Vezel - 160/128 = 0.125

And yes Gearbox plays a huge role in how efficiently the power is used.

These are certainly useful calculatioms but....lets not just consider the hp in it.

A 1.3 city finds is too hard to beat a 1.3 Corolla..reason is the torque of respective engines .if a car delivers 84hp at 5000 rpm then a car which gives 100 hp on 6600 ..rpm then u know u can't take car to 6600rpm everytime to extract full power. Belta is called VIOS in rest of world and while Vios is an excellent car..its considered below Corolla segment but also in other parts of world 1.3 Corolla is not sold. They only sale 1.6 and 1.6+ models.

In Pakistan..due to 1.3 availablity.i agree to your point but then again an old model belta cannot be compared with 11gen.
Close comparison can be 10th gen...unless new vios comes here..gli is pretty unchallenged.

Steering feel is amazing on both the cars. Both are soft but my points are with Corolla on this it felt new and responsive.

I can't comment on the Belta's steering since I've never driven one but I absolutely hate the steering setup on GLi. It's vague and lacks any road feedback. Terrible steering

Normally hydralic steerings give better feedback then EPS...so may be you are used hydraulic ones.

Not at all. All the current cars I have are EPS. The last hydraulic assisted steering I had was in my 8th gen civic. The setup of the corolla steering is just terrible. Although I must add that the FL Grande has a much improved steering feel and feedback. I was presently surprised when I drove a friend's FL after driving another friend's PreFL Grande.
