I am student of hitec uni EE last semester
Its good for studies but you can not chill here due to army rules :-[

If you got good marks, go to a government university. (The world over), tuition fee in govt institutions is next to nil and brand value is good. And if the university has a long history then most probably your interviewer (when you graduate and look for job) will also be an alumni of that same university. Even well-off people send their kids to govt universities despite being able to afford private university, since it is well known that only those people go to private universities who could not get admission to state universities.

bhai mere jis university m admission milta hey le lo...Hitec b theek hey !!
parhna bndey ne khud e hota hey UNIVERSITY environment bs apki personality grooming ka kaam krti hey or wo zamana chala gya jb job sirf Government university students ko milti thi abi job k liye sirf acha CGPA nhi chahye... average students ko b job mil jati hey agr usko kaam ata ho jis ki degree li us ne... !! mene aese b log dekhey jinho ne apna future tabah kr lia sirf is liye k unko Government university m admission nhi mila so jahan milta ALhamdulillah karein

bro i think you should try to get admission in NUST,UET and other Govt Universities..HITEC is not bad..my cousin is doing Mechanical from hitec..baki ap pa depend karta ha jo ap ko behter lagy...parhna to khud he hota ha..

Like others said, Preference should be given to UET, NUST, GIKI. Then comes FAST, Comsats.

Hitech should be least on the priority list. Their campus is good :). Not sure about the teaching standards. But sure you'll be at a disadvantage in many cases while searching for a job.
