Reviews for used toyota Aqua 2014 as a daily office commute car

Salam everyone,

I am thinking of upgrading to a Toyota aqua 2014 model from a mira 2008. My commute is long and most of the times I have to go through Shahrah e faisal traffic in both morning and evening. But my drive is long on a daily basis. I live in malir cantt and commute to shahrah e faisal then my car goes to all the II Chundrigarh as well.

Right now I can buy a car which is 10 years old in terms of model so that's why considering a 2014 Toyota Aqua. My friends have advised me against it due to its battery and ABS issues. But they also told me to buy and get the battery and ABS replaced with new ones and then use it.

Looking for some advice from Aqua users and suggestions for a car between 32-35. I am looking for a hybrid or a car with the good average in traffic or in the city.
Dont want to buy suzuki options.

Looking for its maintenance and parts expenses and how safe the car is because I have heard people getting their entire aqua dashboards stolen from the city and all

sir @ali.baig318 if you carefully asses the travelling distance from your home to work place with route options as Sh. Faisal & Liyari Expressway. you will find LEW more convenient and faster.

Our senior HR director lives in phase 2 of MC and commutes Monday 2 Friday from home to office (Behind KPT Fire station) in his Alto 2020. He has a Corolla Altis 2022 as 2nd car .

The only traffic bottle neck he faces is between Mauripur exit to KPT Bridge which is bit trouble some incase of protest or any vehicle break down. 45 minutes is his commuting time. He heavily rely over traffic police help line 1915 for his commuting.

An Aqua JDM Model 2014 officially has completed the life. for battery and other mechanicals you will be scavenging scrapyards or spending time and money at workshops.

You may try to upgrade 2008 Mira to any 2018 or later model JDM 660 vehicle for better fuel economy.

Look out for its battery n ABS

Too old for a hybrid car, will already have bad or repaired batteries , DON'T do it.
You can buy a fresh low mileage(under 20k) 600cc for that price (Move/Days/Mira) it'll give 19 20 average easily

That is its end of life.

Battery and ABS issues will make you cry, and you will end up spending lakhs on fixing it.. still won’t be fixed.

If you really want a hybrid go for minimum 2018 production car.

But it’s not worth it, too expensive. So get any other small hatch that is fuel efficient. Even new Swift is very good at fuel economy and it’s not that small.
