Update on Abdul Hameed & Sons - Karachi.
All Pak wheelers Let me update you that Mr. Afzal is no more at Abdul Hameed & Sons at Saeed Manzil (Near Jublie).
Recently I visited the place as I have worked with them in the past for all my cars and quite satisfied, I visited on November 14, 2020 for my corolla 1.6 as one sound was coming so after reaching i found all the new people at the workshop, so i asked to Mr. Afzal and i was told he got covid so some other guys running this workshop.
so a guy inspected by car and take a test drive and concluded that my all shocks need working and as for the sound they will check by removing steering etc. in short i agreed. They start working, after that inform that shocks will be refilled and steering have play so will be repaired as it was in original condition for linkroad need to be replaced along with the rubber bushes. I agreed.
Cut the story short my car get ready around 8:30 pm and i was there since 11 or 11.30 am. Later i realized that the whole setup was taken over by Mr. Afzal brother. I myself need to push working to bring the shocks do the fitting etc as they take every car which comes in without considering they have to finished the job in a day.
any ways after lots of waiting i take my car at 8.30 pm and car feels smooth but the it does not become soft, so i through lets do running couple of days and than see. It become more hard, i did wheel alignment as well with Warsi in shahr-e-Quaideen his opinion was also same car is jumbing and hard. so i went back to them on 24 november so the same guy who do the testing (I believe Mr. Aabid or Ahmed) i asked him to check the car he push the car to check the movement of the shocks but as it was really hard no move a bit so he check all four shocks but did not give me clear answer that it has problem or not saying i need to take a test drive, i told him when i bring the car on 14 November you check same way and confirm all four shocks need work today you need the test drive , mean time the boss saw the situation on the camera and call him and he explain the situation and than instead of one two persons try to check the car shocks from both side by pushing it. I was not satisfied with their working style and bring my car and they insist please stay we will check and we will solve it etc.
They charge me 10K for shocks , 4K for Labor , 4 K for steering repairs and 500 for cross service and 1500 for bushes of lower arm. Also they dont issue bill of Abdul Hameed & Sons but some R.H autos something like that.
After that i found Mr. Afzal mobile, so i call him and found he open his setup in Jacob Line near Thanvi Masjid visit him yesterday November 25, 2020 late afternoon he took the test drive and his opinion is that need to check the shocks again seems they are not working properly as well. So i will visit him again to see what exactly is the problem of it.
