As said by Sir Xulfiqar.
Cng cause valves to run dry then petrol. As fuel has lubrication effect. Dryness cause carbon deposit on seats much faster then running on petrol. That's why the first thing that shows the sign of cng usage is bad valve seats.

well, a friend of mine had gone through my entire story of deteriorating fuel average and has suggested the removal of the cng supply hose from the carburetor. Between the carburetor and the air filter box is a cylindrical steel ring with a width of 1 inch which supplies cng. I have been advised to remove it so that the airflow is optimum. would removing the obstruction be of any good?

In carby cars there's also restriction or blockage added in the air filter cover, have you removed it?
Any restriction that reduces air is not good.,

no such restriction found in the entire route.

Is that a venturi? you need that venturi to supply GAS feed into Carb, when CNG is used as fuel.
if you are using liquid fuel please remove the venturi, close the gas tap at cylinder. Clear the airfilter box of any blockage.

yes, the venturi. I had done so last week since i plan on driving the car on petrol only. I couldn't locate any blockages whatsoever in the air filter box or the entire hose that goes all the way to the fender. Does the blockage have to necessarily be in place if the car is being driven on cng?

please wait a while - "WE" will be visiting 2 diesel mechanics over weekend for skill level (go by book or just Tukka fitting) assessment to overhaul a diesel engine for an LC.

@dayrider 1 is located at sohrab goth working upon heavy machines, 2nd one is in pechs. 1 is suggested by Chief Bhatti saheb other is recommended by an old trusted diesel mechanic who is in his late 70s' and now retired.
