Reviews option for Ads

I've been in the market for some time now and have been visiting cars which are posted on Pakwheels. I must say from my experience that Pakwheels needs to add a review option on ads posted where those who visit can post their rviews and which are public for all to see.

The reason i say this is because most of the time, information provided in comments about the particular car is very misleading and often false. For example, i went to visit a car which was clealry hit from front, slightly, hood repaired and repainted on that side, lights changed but owner (first owner car) did not admit to it. Clearly i walked away because i wouldnt buy a car from someone who would lie about something so obvious lol.

But to make ads more transparent i believe theres needs to be a review option where those who viait can add reviews and possibly pictures as proof so someone doesn't get scammed. Not only that, but it saves them time and money.

Any thoughts?

I agree. Last year I went to inspect a City which was advertised as a mint condition car, but it was an accidented car.

That is very common. I have come acrossthis so much.

I just saw a car today. It says documents are complete. I call him and inquired about owner, he said its on my name. I went, asked in person too. Saw the car thoroughly, test drive, and at the end agreedon a figure. Then, the driver called the owner. He

Owner came, agreed and said car is on bank's name. Wants payment and will give NOC whenever bank gives. It wastes my time and money.

Pakwheels should seriously think about this. Add a review option or comments so there is a cross check info available and not just the information the owner provided.

How can a person tag mods here?

So far no mods has replied. It is in site feedback section. One would think PW team would be interested in receiving feedack to the point of checking this section.

Your suggestion seems quite valid, however, I am of a concern that if review option will be added, then majority of the people might start adding negative feedback / criticism, just for the sake of defaming the seller, owner, his ride, or most importantly, bringing the car's value down; one way or the other.

To just give an example, if a seller is selling an almost brand new Celerio in 20 lac PKR, in mint, 10/10 condition (condition, pics, etc. speak for themselves), and just out of nowhere, a random person comes and makes a comment:

استاد ے گدی ١٣ لکھ توں زیادہ دی نی ے

The seller might have a heart attack. And no one might be probing that person that you are saying it based on which grounds? Etc.

And what ever explanations that person will make to clarify, no one will listen to him.

People will also think that the pics in ads are edited, photo shopped, etc. or from some other car.

And this is just one of the factors. There could be many many reasons.

(And trust me, it happens most of the times in our society, in almost every matter, be it Job, Marriage proposal, etc. You know "Hearsay", etc.)

So, I am of the opinion that if review options are not their for automobiles, then its a good thing.

I understand. Yes it is a valid point and i have seen this happen on many insta pages too.

But i believe there needs to be some sort of way to make things transparent. I have been in the market for well over a month now, for the second time and have seen so many ads with misleading infor.ation that were simply a waste of time and money.

Some ads are posted where the car looks almost new and is mebtioned so in comments as well but when i go to see it, its anything but that. Then i go to see if maybe i missed it, only to realized that certain areas were delibertly not shown in pictures because it had dents.

Here's what i've encountered:

-Sometimes people post much older pictures of their cars. Back when they were in better conditon or as described. Upon visit, car has dents. But not in pictures.

-They say car is on their name. But upon visit, turns out its not.

-They say in comments "first owner" but it actually means that car is currently on first owner's name lol. Saw a car and guy was third owner. But still believes its a first owner car because its on name of first owner.

-Seller says car on his name, turns out car is on bank's name.

-Ad says original paint, but ive discovered cars with 1 piece paint, 2, 3, even one whole side paint. A guy had an ad, i asked him, he said only number plate area painted. Turns out whole trunk and whole left side painted.

-Guy says origin paint, and whole car is painted.

-Advertised as immaculate condition but its the most un-immaculate thing ever. Always happens.

-Guy had a hardtop civic rebirth up for sale. Pics on the inside were from an oriel. I went to visit and inquired, guys says yeah sorry idk what happened.

-Went to see a car, turns out it was a showroom. Car was sold some weeks ago. I said car still shows up and was updated today, requested him to remove as he wasted my time. Car was updated again next day. Kept happening for a week. I even reported 5 6 times.

-ad created, but person doesn't pick up. Reported but nothing.

-ad has one location but when you call, they give another location. (Sometimes car may be at one place during day time such as office, but at another at evening, such as home. Which is fine, but this is different. They give wrong addresses.)

Encountered a lot more. This is what i could think of at the top of my head. Something needs to be done. Perhaps comments which admins can approve
and show up only then or another way but something.
