Here's something very important i wanted to ask from ppl living in Rwp/Isl.

My friend bought a new gli lately and went to the ETO office Islamabad to get it registered. He had bought his car by paying the 'own' n everything so the original invoice was on the Showroom's owner's name who actually bought it initially.
Now what ETO Islamabad is doing, they would first issue the book on the original buyer's name ( i.e the Showroom owner or the inverstor ) and then they will " TRANSFER " it to your name even though u claim to be the first owner.
So eventually u become the SECOND owner of the car from the day 1 of its registration..... THIS IS RIDICULOUS....
Could somebody plz verify it n second this illogical act.......???

p.s I went to toyota sawan motors yesterday and also to Genral Motors on bank road. They have also quoted me the same prices for the xli,gli and altis both variants.

Yes that is true. I was about to buy a car on premium but then I asked the dealers about car's first ownership on registration papers. They told me that if the car is open invoice then you would be its first owner. But if the car's invoice is already on someone's name then you would be its second owner. After knowing this I did not buy the car on premium. I booked it on my name.

+1; my dad booked the car for my wife (i was not here at that time), the counter guy asked for NTN number that my wife obviously didnt had...its just formality and is even optional...but my dad gave his and instead booked the car on this name. When we registered the car same thing happened; now my wife is second owner and my dad is first

If you are paying premium its your right that you ask your dealer that you need an open invoice car...

I am flattered..its just that we read and learn stuff...have computers and many softwares etc...but we dont apply them in our day to day life

If some representative of the vendor or their dealer says to you; see we are good we reduced the price...no they havnt...its the government who has reduced the taxes...they infact has increased the prices

Yes; as a buyer we have to pay "little less" now; but is it still worth it? Its a long and useless topic. We all have materlized ourselves and we and our next generations will have to pay the price!
