with work and family life routine it was very hard to sit on his head for eveyrthing. had to blind trust the dude that he checked everything. just remember bleeding front discs. he said carbs wr supper dirty and and he put in alot of effort cleaning everything

the parts Im speaking of are the chrome legs of the front forks - they get scratched up due to dirt becoming embedded into their lip seals - You can buy accordion shaped boots for it which protect it from dirt, You may be able to find them brand new too as they were sold at Suzuki genuine parts as these bikes were also meant for rider delivery type jobs in other countries.

one thing I missed what is the condition of tires, may be I missed some where if you have wrote about em...this machine (even though goray say its an entry level machine) but it is not it can clock 180kmh++ hands down and has an equal accelration to a entry level 16valve bandit or an FZR/ZZR sport bike even though it sounds so humble due to muted muffler..

u need soft grippy rubbers down there..

However I decided to reduce rear tire pressure to 28 from 30 so it doesn't tail out in 3rd gear. Any harm?

since i do not own it these days what I do remember it had some 40PSi recomended presssure, 30~28 seems bit low .. 35 might be fine and give more grip on dust road whcih we usually have.

I hope this is not offtopoic but few pictures poped up in facebook memories and urge to share with you rose.. the two GS500 which stayed with me... excellent machines both of em.. loved um.. totally... then I grew up.. but at that very moment the were LOVE

this bike I built it from bottom to top... and once I road it without oil for straight 15kilometers and realized the oil bolt in bottom was not installed. (she survived that) its bullet proof...

this bike belonged to @BlueHorn and it stayed with me for quite a while as he got busy with his life until I sold it.. toured on it to lorahazara, and nathya gali.. it had weak engine intiailly but was sorted out once I had my hands on it..

Funny thing related to air pressure.

Small/tiny motorcycles in Pakistan are usually seen with 35/40 as F/R

While most of them require 26/32 F/R - makes a great deal of difference in control. But requires the forks to be in good shape (not filled with greasy grimey oil) and the swing arm and rear shocks to be good too.

The last two parts are impossible to get correct in Pakistan under usual circumstances because “ustaad ka 85 saala fizool tajurba”
