Road condition Gilgit to Phandar valley

AoA, I am planing a trip with my family to Ghizer district. Can anyone plz tell the the condition of road from Gilgit to Yasin and Phander Valley. I have Altis 1.6, is it feasible to take my vehicle there.
My plan is Ibd to naran night stay, naran to Gilgit night stay, Gilgit to Gahkuch night stay, then Yasin and phandar valley

Road is good till Phandar...any car can easily go...

Why you want a night stay at Gilgit, you can go straight to Gahkuch

Yec you car can go easily. and as Farrukh bhai said go to Gahkuch instead of staying at gilgit. Will save aroud 1.5-2 hrs of travelling the next day

Thanks for the reply. I think you are right, I will go to Gahkuch. Actually I planned a little rest at PAF mess but it can be done at Gahkuch also.

Can anyone recommend a good camping site in these areas?

All area ahead of gahkuch is open for camping.no specific sites..you may camp near khalti lake. You may also camp at phandar lake.

Yes try to get a place from where a village is nearby and visible

Just returned from Gupis and Phander, road is OK but narrow and less traffic, still need to be careful as locals coming from front will not give you way. Try to stay at PTDC Gupis on the way to Phander, very beautiful and well located. At Phander, although there is also PTDC Motel but not very good and is about 3Kms before Phander.
