Road Insurance Info Required

Can anyone define me what is road insurance and why it is necessary in Karachi. I have all the documents but only this paper is missing and Traffic Police always ask the question about road insurance. So, please tell me why it is important and from where I can get this document and also its fees.? Thanks is advance..

@SaifAli.09 Road insurance is basically a third party insurance. That is, if you hit another vehicle by accident, the insurance company will cover their damages. It is legally required by law but hardly practiced anywhere. This is why Police in Sindh finds it as just a perfect excuse to give you ticket (also to take bribes) even if you have documents with you.
I heard its very cheap. Usually insurance companies do offer third party insurance. Also, try visiting postal insurance office. They may offer cheap road insurance.

There are many agents sitting outside the civic centre karachi. They take 300 Rs for this paper and its of one year validity.

Where can I can have in Rawalpindi or Islamabad, the cheap one
And for information is police report and road insurance of third party is necessary for third party claim? I got these requirements from TPL insurance that the party which I hit, have to have these documents else they wont pay for the damage done to the third patry by me. Whereas I have a comprehensive policy that covers third party liabilities (atleast as per policy).
