Was disapointed to see the state of affairs of the Japanese Park...absolutely no maintenance. Such a nice place but unfortunately not looked after.

gud going and by the way why you came back all way to Islamabad, you could go to Nathiagali via Abbotabad which is lovely scenic route and you could visit Islamabad on return.. just my thoughts!

Thanks...we’ve been on the Abbottabad-Nathiagali route many times and agree that it is much nicer and a more peaceful way to get to Nathiagali.

As we had not paid in advance, unfortunately due to heavy rush our bookings were cancelled and we had to make alternate arrangements. We realized that our chances of getting not 1 but 3 rooms on a weekend was bleak had we gone and reccee’d the place on Saturday evening. So we decided to head to Islamabad for the weekend and leave for Nathiagali on Monday morning. Hopefully by that time the weekend rush would be over in Nathiagali. And Shukar Alhamdolillah our plan worked. <o:p></o:p>

Thankyou for appreciation sir... im loving ur thread! watching each n every page n enjoying the trip along side... i myself love travelling and have been planning to drive to Karachi for a long time... will do it asap... and also, good to know ur city idsi turned out to be a trust worthy partner in such a long trip... the cost per km seems to be quite reasonable... but then why shudnt it be? thats the best thing about an idsi

Dear Ahmadbila: I'm glad you've enjoyed reviewing the thread...there is more to come so pl do keep a look out for new posts. You must plan to drive to Karachi especially in Dec/Jan...the Karachi weather is much nicer and pl do look me up when you are in town. Would love to meet you in person. I have enjoyed the idsi very much and I fully agree with your comment.

Here we go...the rest of the evening we spent driving around the bazaars of F6 and F7 searching for a place for dinner. But we ended up at the same place...Kabul Restaurant on great public demand.

Nathiagali next...

On Monday, July 11 we headed to Nathiagali via the New Murree Expressway assuming that the weekend rush would be over and our chances of getting rooms in a decent hotel would be bright.

Also what the group had discussed was that in case there was nothing worthwhile in Nathiagali we would venture to the other Galiyats in search of decent accommodation.

When we got to Nathiagali we headed straight for Elites to try our luck with last minute cancellations, but to no avail. There were no rooms in any of the Greens properties either so we headed to the bazaar and took a chance at the Old Raees Khana (we stayed there last year as well) and eventually got 3 rooms for Rs. 5000 a night per room. Not bad!
