Hello everyone,

I'm planing a trip up north with family in the 2nd half of May for 10 days using own vehicle.

It will of great help if someone give ideas about road conditions, places to visit, mode of transportation and hotels to stay.

In May, you can only visit through KKH Route, road is ok throughout except for few patches..
You can visit Hunza, Khunjerab, Skardu in 10 days..
You have own vehicle so why asking for transportation?

I'll try to visit sakrdu, daesoi and surroundings, that's why asking about transportation. Will this be possible on car or jeeps etc?

Skardu is accesible in car for deosai hire jeep from skardu but i am no sure if you can visit deosai in may.

I suggest that you delay your trip to July as Babusar Top usually opens by end of June. Alternate route to GB is too lengthy, hectic, not scenic at all and has extreme wear and tear on the car due to bad road condition for long stretches of KKH.

Yes road from dasu till chilas it is horrible but we don't have any holidays in July.

I have heard news on tv channel that Naran will b open within one week n also working to clear babusir top road within 3 to 4 weeks so may b u can go via babusir top on these days.

From chillas you can either go directly to Skardu (car/jeep) and stay there or you may go to Gilgit and stay. We can talk on phone if you like to. I will drop my cell phone number in inbox

Khi-Islamabad-Khi road travel will take 4 days in total.
You will be left with 6 days to visit further upwards.
I would suggest you to limit yourself to Galiaat, Shogran/Siri-Paye & Naran/Saif-ul-Maluk.
Further going upwards will be alot of hectic driving with very less time leftover to spend at the location itself.
The driving portion of your vacations should be enjoyable and memorable too.
Reduce driving reasonably and enjoy the actual station more! It'll be more wiser.

Hi,
I am planning to visit Northen Areas from Lahore with my own Car in this Month and trip is not more than 3 to 4 days.

Suggestion is required about the roads and which location I can visit my own Car.
Currently I have plan to go directly Naran and stay 1 night.
And next day to visit Babusabu Top if roads or fine and I can easily drive or we need to book Jeep.

Also make a plan to visit Gilgit.

Plz suggest
