Rod knock issue

Dear friends
My car ( cultus efi 07) has developed an un ususal sound . Its quite similar to rod knock( crank noise) i have showed it to few mechanics. Some say its crankshaft noise . Whereas other claim that its from ac bearing. I have changed ac bearing but sound is still there.Though bit reduced say 60%. Confusing point is when the ac & power steering belt is removed sound vanishes. My trusted mechanic and myself are skeptical about it.
Can any one suggest any procedure to rule out the rod knock.( without tearing engine)

Check your ac compressor. It might be bad and making noise. Secondly have the water pump checked. A noisy waterpump too makes sound. I have experienced both bad sounds in my efi cultus

If your cultus have crank noise problem your car will start loosing the power.If acceleration has been reduced drastically recently then you have crank issue otherwise it is about ac.

Thanks for replies so far no reduction in power. Pick is great. No vibration no oil reduction ever. I also suspect tensioner in timing pulley. Will check pulleys.

Crank noise is max when cold start is made. If no noise is coming after removing compressor pulley then..no issue with crank.get compressor replaced from Bilal gunj...btw don't get toyota compressor..thats full of shit. Repairing work in our country actually wastes more money

Have changed ac tensioner bearing+belt . I have noticed that when timing cover is removed then there is no sound and when i fit it on and generator and ac belts are connected sound comes back

Its wobble in timing belt . It touches plastic cover at some place at 2k rpm
