heard the set up, the following statement comes to mind: it came, we saw and it conquered!
i was expecting the focals to be sharp where as upon hearing them, i must say you've really put a leash on them!
the stage width that you have acheived was simply amazing, with the current install. i can only imagine what the final outcome shall be once all the goodies are out of the bag!

Pleasure meeting you Ahmed bhai and the full time you gave that day is priceless.
Feedback is most important to me, critic or positive. Because it keeps me on the toes everytime. Thank you for the review.

This is the Demo Disk compiled by ErinH (DIYMA). A must for SQ people.

There are 36 total, with the average track time being about 2 minutes. So, long enough to get in to it, but not long enough to bore you.

The file is a .rar which can be extracted via winzip/winrar. All files are in .flac format. There is an accompanying excel file with all the track names as well as dynamic range information (if you care).

These are from 'the good versions' of CDs. Namely, not crappy remasters with the dynamic range squashed down all to bits. That's more apparent in the Tears for Fears songs (mobile fidelity sound labs version of Songs From The Big Chair and then the West German 1983 pressing of The Hurting). Also, the Dire Straits track is from the MoFi release as well.

Sir it was a pleasure listening to your marvelously sounding and bling bling car (Courtesy of DC). One of the mos enjoyable systems to be heard with note to note clarity and spacious staging. The work carried out with regards to the sound deadening is exemplary and something to follow. Goes out to show how install techniques and the work put out in reducing auditory nuisances as rattles accompanied by tactful and intelligent tuning can bring out the best in ones gear. In short sir, it was a joyride. Two thumbs up!

Thank you sir for the review, i hope to do much better than this and improve it. I am constantly scratching my head to get the accurate reproduction, still few things are pending and i am working on them as we speak.

Currently Working on The REW for measuring the response of the system and its FR. In the meanwhile i am posting the measurements.
These measurements are taken by Dayton IMM 6 Mic and C Weighting. Noise level compensation of 20 db. Reference file is -14 db Pink Noise from Disk No 2 of Focal.
Spatial Averaging in 1"30' seating position.

You are referring to the term known as under lapping. Underlapping and overlapping depends upon the crossover points, slope for seamless transition between drivers. The FR and PR can confirn if Underlapping or overlapping is required. And even in most cases its not necessary.

So in short, it depends.

Im feeling that if i bridge the gaps, the audio gets more clear and smooth. Currently im closing the gaps by giving half of the frequency to both drivers underlapping or overlapping.

What are your crossover points and slopes. You have top grade Sq equipment. Why not make your new thread and we can start tweaking it there.

Recently on my road trip had the pleasure to meet roms directly for the first time and check out mirpur. To say the least i was pleasantly surprised. It was a beautiful place with a very serene environment. Of course the objective of going there was audio related, but the trip gave me added benefits.
Coming to the audio setup, there were many things i got to appreciate that were almost unavailable in my setup. The most admired feature was his complete control over his setup. When they say knowledge is power, it really truly is.
The stage width was at a very good angle with the width itself mind boggling. The depth was inconceivable. The separation between different instruments and their different depths was truly amazing. The background noises were instantaneous and crystal clear.
His focals were so controlled that the expected 'shrillness' was invisible. Even in their stock pods the midrange and tweeter did not let down.
When FG is done the delivery of audio will get better but i dont think by much because currently lack of fg is not felt that much. Its always good to have extra bass at hand so that whenever the mood kicks in, the option is available. We all know the 1224 can easily live up to the expected. I had to be reminded again and again that this was a quasi active setup. When and if he decides to go to fully active, the possibilities are endless and control of the hardware is immensely increased.
If someone knows how to squeeze the juice out of their setup, i think that sir you did it wonderfully. Thumbs up!
