hello guys, i am going to buy a room air cooler, any recommendations?? there is super asia, boss, toyo, sogo as well i think and locally made one as well. do no want a DC type as i think they might be low performing.
my conditons are temp 45- 52C, humidity around 16-25%, 1st floor 12*16*10 ft room, roof and walls somewhat exposed to direct sunlight, want to run it during day n evening times.
i need a quality brand.
do reply guys if any one has experience, though i know air coolers are not in fashion.

Buy GFC FAN of big or medium size depending upon ur room size or people to cover.
GFC gives 2 year fan motor warranty. Then ask aircooler making guys to fit that fan inside with ample space.
Use a self bought fully copper wired little pump. And if humid, remove one side chamber of cooler or (khas). Do NOT USE THE COOLER INSIDE ROOM. its fan could be inside but body should be outside taking fresh air.

My GFC fan was medium and pump small plasticy. Total watts 300. Also running on UPS (made by Abid from Lahore)

Now a days i see "khas" like they use it in chicken stock farms.

like this. I felt it is good but havent experienced yet. A relative of mine is using it. Cooler was standing outside room. He said i put normal water inside and now water is colder than it was.

by fan u mean to say a stand fan, right?? so you are saying that i ask the local guy to prepare the air cooler with the parts i provide?? can you show the pics of ur setup?? i have seen these local air coolers in the market, they are probably DC air coolers meant to work on solar system. and i dont think these handmade air cooler are prepared in my city. for this i have to go to another city and to arrange this all stuff will be very gruesome.
i am inclined to buy a branded one. i couldn't figure out the brand and there is no info about air coolers in pakistan online.
the only online parent website is of boss, a gujranwala based company, there info and catergorization seems straight forward. most common is super asia and there is also toyo but there is official website of these.

In branded Pak Fan's (wahid industries) used to make good quality air coolers don't know if they still make them but quality of them was better than Super asia and Boss air coolers...
And i think he meant that buy exhaust fan from GFC and get that fitted in. @elxlr Am i right?

Yea. Buy big exhaust fan of GFC. Get it fixed in air cooler body of ur choice. This gruesomeness is digestable than wasting money and being ripped by cheap air cooler makers. Putting silver wired fan which takes more watts almost double than copper and gets hot. 6month warranty. Electric shock or earth in body leading to shocks. Hard on ups or electric bill. Almost many compnies are fake. Local made with internation logos and properties/specification copied from international websites and pasted on their local ones to make it look profession while selling at same price.

Anyways. My work was to guide u. Not to spoon feed u what to do. U know what u prefer.

I will surely try to source out the local air cooler maker in my area.
In the market here, mostly hand made air coolers r dc type.
Should I get a dc air cooler and attach an adapter n run it on 220V ?? Will it be efficient enough?

DC air cooler fan motor is not durable. Buy 220v fan. Its 300 watts only man.

Recently I came across new imported coolers on Green Valley. They looked pretty good and also had low wattages. The cooler can be placed inside of the room. The brand name was geepas. Anyone with feedback? Im thinking of buying it. Worth 20K PKR. Should I ? Thanks in Advance.

Do not buy fancy looking stuff which has to b placed indoor
Remember these coolers work through evaporation principle. N that only works if the machine is placed outside in open air

Can you share from where you got your custom cooler made? what was the total cost?
