Ya I can do the manual Setup but em Not intrusted in it yet as the current setup it very healthy for me now ... As it fulfill all my needs what I look for while driving ....
My 8 I think it's a Show- Car .. Not for racing, drags etc

What? I really did think you were more into performance rather than looks. Truth turns out to be something else.

Of course you don't have to swap anything , my point was to tell you that Auto 8's are more likely to need a engine rebuild instead of manuals and that is due to carbon buildup. You can see massive numbers of thread @ rx8club where people are complaining that the car has given up. Even with taking the proper precautions and taking proper care. Mazda also admit that putting a auto trans in the 8 was a mistake and lowering the output power of the engine was even a bigger mistake.

Anyways about adding new members to the list , i will have to look into that because to me something just does not look or feel right. I dont know about you but that's just my opinion.

Sheryar what are you talking about? I am saying that by posting suspicious photos of a car does not mean anything. I just wanted to say that if i just could see some proper pictures instead of real magnified close ups. The thing that ticks me off the most is that a picture of this same car was posted before by the same member but now it is removed. I just feel that the person is hiding something. That's all i wanted to clarify.

To the others , why are you talking about those other cars? I bought them and was not satisfied so i sold them. I can do whatever i want without any of you being so concerned about it.

I buy something with my money , then it belongs to me and i can choose to show it to anyone. It's entirely upto me.

Muzammil , there is one place in KHI who are famous for repairing and rebuilding Renesis engines. Can't seem to remember the name. But they are expensive i have my personal mechanic specially for rotaries in Lahore. He has rebuilt several engines for me and the rebuils were 100% success. The cost also depends on what the defect is.

For and instance is your RX-8 is burning too much oil and you see blue/black/white smoke coming out of the tailpipes , that would be Oil control rings which are leaking oil into the chamber. Loss of compression would be due to worn out or faulty apex seals which are not sealing the combustion properly and there for giving poor compression.

If you could tell me in detail what exactly your problem is then i could guide you to a good mechanic but that would be in Lahore. It would be best to get your car transported by truck.

he tried his best to search 3 rx8 together but failed! and also his all other id are blocked now so he is back in action with his blue 2003 rx8 typeS which he had from ages with lifted suspension from back! reg num LEE-07-168

Road Runners in Karachi do work on Rotary engines so does Khan Motors, both of the workshops are located in Defence Phase II.

hey wats good erybody, got white rx8 for a while now didnt know about this thread i got to get new spark plugs ignition plugs cars misfiring like crazy i would post a picture of my car but i actually know how where can i get spark plugs and ignition plugs for a good price thinking of selling my 8 and getting a new import love it full auto/tipronic almost full compression 140, 120, rear view cam usb led led in grill pearl white but still i look at it im like damn this car looks sweet wish i could post pics

A little revised version of the tips for Rotary engines I did a while back, forgot to post it here. @fahdchhapra, I hope you don't mind that I used majority of your tips.

Rotary engine tips:

Start:

• Press the clutch
• Keep the gear in neutral
• Turn the ignition to 'on' and wait approximately 5-10 seconds
• Crank the engine without pressin/pumping the throttle
• Slowly release the clutch
• Idle slowly to 2500-3000 RPM for about 10-15 seconds
• Now you're ready to drive

Stop:

• Raise the RPM to 2000-3000 RPM for about 10-15 seconds
• Turn the ignition off while the engine is running

Maintaining your Rotary engine RX-7/RX-8

• Always add Hi-Octane fuel
• Let you car warm up first before driving
• Never shut off your rotary engine when it is cold, it will cause the engine to flood
• Use only non-synthetic oil for your Rotary engine
• Replace the engine oil and filter at 2000km or 2500km
• Always top up your engine oil when you refuel your car (Rotary engine = oil burn)
• Rotary engines are rev happy by default
• Redline your engine occasionally, rotary engines like to be redlined

Tips for checking a Rotary engine

1. The engine should start up easily within 5-8 sec of ignition, if it does not there could be 3 things

2. The car was dead cold, which means it has not been driven in weeks and/or months which is alright

3. The battery of the car could be weak, which is ok and the problem is fixable

4. The engine has a low and/or dead Rotor compression, which is bad

5. Start up the engine, go at the back of the car and see the exhaust tips you will see smoke coming out of the exhausts that is normal because Rotary engines run rich when they are cold, but once the engine has warmed up completely and there is still white-ish or gray-ish smoke coming out from the exhausts stay away from that car.

6. White smoke indicates a coolant leak

7. Grey smoke indicates an oil leak or damaged apex seals
