Route from swat to kalam?

Assalam o alaikum. i am planning a trip to swat/kalam. Can someone please guide me as to whether the route from swat to kalam is open at this time. (17 january 2018). and whether i should directly go from swat to kalam or made a stop and spend a night at a spot in between. please guide me regarding the places to visit and how to get there!

Wa Allaioum Assalam. I am not sure if the road to kalam from Bahrain would be open, but i think it would be. Syed Rameez, you have to pass by Mardan city and then reach Malakand, then Mingora where u can stop and have your lunch eat trouts or anything u like. There is no need to stay for a night in swat you should head straight to khwazakhela which main kalam road and reach Bahrain. From there the road is completely a rough patch. U will need 5 to 6 hours to cover it till kalam. Almost 30km.

On your own car, it should not take more than 3.5 hours to reach Kalam from Bahrain. It took me about 2.5 hours on my trip in July 2016. Six hours mentioned by a brother is overly exaggerated in my opinion.

Please keep in mind the road condition for a car (sedan) from Bahrain to Kalam. I will never take my car on Bahrain - Kalam route.

Aoa, anyone who has recently travelled to Swat can guide about road conditions especially from Bahrain to Kalam, can i take my own car to Kalam? TIA

For the love of your car, plz don't take it beyond Bahrain.

Better park it there and hire a jeep or local taxi.

behrain say kalam is abt 35 kms which takes abt 3 hrs ... provided snow na no bht...
