The funny thing is that ive never had to clean a throttle body except on some vehicles which had spaceship mileage and also suffered egr stuck, which literally coated the throttle blade with coal and was causing it to bind. (Literal error shows up claiming that throttle is stuck)
In all other cases, ive never had the urge to clean any throttle or even see an improvement from cleaning it just for fun.
Yes, the atf can save the throttle axle bushings provided the mechanic didnt go ape crazy on drowning it in liquid solvent. If solvent gets into the motor and throttle transmission, it can wear out the gearset causing throttle positioning errors. (New throttle required).
