hey every one , i would like to share a strange thing i have a vxl cultus which has a power steering now i have observe a strange thing that when i turn my power steering my rpm seems to be increase and when i turn it back it seems to be normal when i turn the steering on right hand side to be specific rpm increases and when i turn it back to left hand side rpm seems to be back normal please state your expert advise what might be wrong ?

This is very normal sir,,,,,dont worry,,,power steering pump needs power which comes from the engine so the rpm increases I have noticed that this happens slightly less in EPS but in Hydraulic Power Steerings this is common.

+1Also in cars equipped with EPS you will notice slight deflection in the rpm needle whenever you fully turn your steering wheel.
its normal... ignore it and get used to power steering.it tells me that you have this first car with power steering
HPS uses engine's power to turn wheels, this is required maximum when turning the steering at idle. This is cause of RPM increase temporarily and is completely normal.
You have a vxl and after how long do you recognise this thing?
its normal
check ur power steer oil also n on the whole its normal as in idle mode it requires pressure when u steer left n right
normal.it should also increase when lights are turned on
