just a quick Diy for installing RPM in alto bought this rpm and wire pics are a bit well un ordered in uploading but had it worked out in the end *le RPM wires as i need to connet 3 wires 1 with +ve of the switch 2 Negative with body 3 one with the distributor just need them to go under the dash so they do't get stuck and end results rpm working fine
excellent work m8. what model is this rpm meter? and cost?
don't know about the model but i bought it for 1500
AT which point at distributor did u connect the rpm sense wire???
Is it showing the correct reading.. Me experience was bad. Bout a new meter for 3500/-Rs gave 500 for the installation, and it never showed proper RPM.. Never ever did the needle go above 4K RPM even on full throttle...
You probabbly need to set the Number of Cylinders
On the back of the RPM meter there is a dip-switch that you can use to toggle the correct reading
the usual options are 4,6,8 ...Try to play with them I'm sure you'l have luck.
What a messed up wiring it was better if u have used original JDM alto or Kei meter(cost 2500) rather than this one looks 100 times better than this after market one but no offense ur choice
i hate loose wires hanging from dash. they look ugly and can be dangerous too. and rpm meter at a side can draw your attention from road. i also think that you should go for jdm meter.
seconding @asad1 postyour diy is not so nice, return it & get jdm installed
7 months has passed and working fine shows reading upto 7500rpm wiring is OEM suzuki and it hangs down u all know it...JDM meters i was shown none of them with rpm they were same wth 140 top speed no rpm of works model the kei was available and it had range till 12K so no need of that and cost was above 3400 this one works fine and easy install
