Run instant geyser on Gas and LPG?

Is anyone running their instant geyser on Gas and LPG? We get full gas pressure during the day but at night (10pm) the gas is turned off and its an issue at night since geyser doesn't work at all. Don't want to run it on LPG 24x7 because then we'll be dealing with gas cylinders too much.

Any other solution?

Instant geysers can be run on LPG as well. Due to the difference between pressures of LPG and Natural Gas, the nozzles(inside the geyser) used in the geyser for gas usage would consume more than required LPG if you don't change them because too much LPG would be supplied through those nozzles intended for gas.

Apart from that the good old electric rod heater can be used as well when required in case of gas outage as well.

If I change nozzles to LPG, would it still run on Natural Gas? I just need to go through the winter season. After winter season, I will switch back the nozzles.

LPG nozzles are very small as far I know, restricting the flow of the gas, hence less/optimum consumption when on LPG. Whereas the flow of the nozzles from natural gas type nozzles is very good to allow good amount of the natural gas to the burners.

You can continue to use the existing nozzles with LPG, just that, it will consume more LPG because of the more flow allowed by the nozzles.

Since you will be using natural gas most of the time, I wouldn't suggest to put LPG nozzles in geyser because it may not give optimum performance with natural gas due to less gas flow.

I spoke with our guy who does that, he's saying nozzles need to be changed to run geyser on LPG and if we change to LPG nozzles then it won't work on Natural Gas.

That's why I was checking here, if anyone was running geyser on both types of fuel?

Alternative is that i get an electric instant geyser, but that's 25K+ expense, plus not sure how safe it is if installed outside - exposed to rain & fog.

Yeah, that was also my understanding that LPG nozzles won't let the optimum flow of gas for natural gas usage. And natural gas nozzles would let too much LPG to flow when its used on LPG.

Keep an electric water rod heater, you will use it only when required, it isn't that costly, indeed an hassle.

No idea about instant electric heaters.
