How long one can run car as applied for legally ?
And can any one tell the procedure to get the advance series number at Islamabad. I would like to get UU series number can any one help me out ?

Here in Karachi, it's risky. Especially when the situation in the city gets tense, the rangers make their own check-posts at every main road. Once they catch you, you can say your final farewells to your vehicle until it gets registered.

Under the prevailing security conditions it is advisable to get your car registered immediately ,its my opinion decision is yours.

Yes I would like to get it registered ASAP , got all paper work done just need to submit documents now. But the number I need is not available in current series and excise guy is saying I have to wait. That's why I would also like to know what is the process for advance number allocation I will go agin today at excise and try to figure out if anyone know please share

Dear, If your car is still having applied for Registration plate then You can drive it as long as you do not get it registered. My car was 4500Km driven prior to registration. Last Tuesday I took the car to Islamabad and was aware that Golra Main Check post will cause some problem. So I put the Odometer to Trip, and from Mardan to Islamabad it almost covered 200, so when they look at the Odometer then they allowed me. But took 100Rs as a Mithayii coz my Windows were also tinted.

I wanted to register it asap so went to Islamabad Excise the same day and got it registered as UT-310... I also wanted UU serial but I had to wait for it....

Dear if sm1 doesn't have resisdence in Islamabad like in mine case then what is the procedure for getting ISB No.

first try a letter from your company and go to excise it might work as well

Keep making new delivery leters, (delivery reciving slip) and tell police people you just got your car, so ul get it registered.

2ndly I have done the paper work got F form from excise and bank challan submitted so things like engine and chassis already at excise record. I just have to submit the papers. Tough I have put plates on my car for the number I would like to get and marked my papers for reservation of that number from ETO
