Rust on radiator

I have mehran 2004 model. its radiator has got rust. plz tell me what's the solution?

go to any radiator cleaning shop & they'll take out the radiator & clean it thoroughly. Don't do it urself.

After getting it cleaned from a radiator wala, never ever run the car without coolant. Putting tap water in radiator is one of the biggest blunder our mechanics do to ruin cars.

A simple but very very effective JUGAT:

1- get the radiator cleaned thoroughly by radiator wala.
2- After installing it back in the car, pour 2-3 table spoons of Mobil oil in it.
3- Refill the radiator with simple tap water & I bet there will be no rust for the next 1-2 years for sure

A simple but very very effective JUGAT:

2- After installing it back in the car, pour 2-3 table spoons of Mobil oil in it.
3- Refill the radiator with simple tap water & I bet there will be no rust for the next 1-2 years for sure

This procedure is also used to reduce the noise from water body....seen some people do this when they are selling their cars and they do this to reduce the water body noise....

Well don't know about water body noise as it is my self invented Juggat & works very well for radiator at least . Once even I did it without cleaning the radiator & in a month or so, when I changed the water all the rust was gone in forms of yellowish balls that accumulated around the cap.

Capsat bhai, is there any harm in puting 2-3 table spoons of mobil oil in radiator??? Problem with coolants is that most of the coolants available in the market are simple coloured water

sealed coolant tins are concentrates to be mixed in distilled water by 50-50 or as instructions printed on the tin.

WHAT - who came up with this lame idea anyway, if a system calls for 50% mixture of glycol based coolant with water, then why not follow it?

it can be reused again by collecting it all in a pan and then put back. I know that mechanics/AC simply let it drain onto the ground, take your own clean tub/pan/cut up bottle and collect all the coolant to put back in the system.

The coolant itself needs to be changed every 2 to 3 years. And dont open the radiator cap everyday (God only knows why our people love to do that) - check from the expansion tank, if its low add some coolant mix to it, if its overflowing then check the radiator level as its not sucking coolant back.

Its quite funny what sort of short cuts we come up with, not too long ago there was someone advising to put half a litre diesel fuel in the cooling water, How crazy can one get, all petroleum based oils will eat away the rubber parts of the cooling system.

Sorry Sir g... ab kia jaan len ge meri :(. It worked very well in my previous margalla but off course I can't dare to oppose u as u have much better insight on these matters, so I revert back from my suggestion....
