I am getting work done to remove minor rust in the rear left wheel arch of my Honda Civic 2005. The Denter cut out the rusted area and patched it. It was a double patch. As in one patch was in the wheel side and another on the other end. These patches were then welded and sealant applied.
Now the thing that I guess is problematic is that the inner sides of these patches were never painted / primed. Neither were the welds on the inside. So this cannot possibly be correct and the patches will rust again? This time more so than before? What should I do in this situation. Have them cut the area and put in new patches correctly? Also how is this usually handled / what are the proper steps that I need to ensure they undertake.
