I have ISB registed 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid MX (aka Reborn FD3) 2022 auctioned, I have purchased this car year. During purchase there were little rust marks on the chassis plate (below hood) and the Passenger Side Door one. I didn't took it seriously and with the time its condition has degraded with formation of tiny holes on bonnet plate and complete degradation of door side plate.
I wanted to get the bonnet plate painted as it was more crucial but my painter and denter has recommended to get some kinda permit from Police. I have visited the nearby Khidmat Markaz in F-6 but they have refused to deal any such stuff and referred me to excise. Last week I inquired a local traffic police officer who stopped me for checking chasis (usual for imported cars on sriginar highway choki) he advised me to get it painted as without protein. While a relative has advised to not get to excise or police stuff and just try to remove the rust off using WD-40 and apply some grease and try to keep the plat in same condition without painting as it will make selling car difficult.
I am confused if there is a procedure for this or someone has encountered a similar problem help me out please.
