Hi, as the topic suggests i am looking for an experienced person to review my rx8 ecu wiring. The car has 1g-fe engine ported and as far as i can tell the ecu for is200 (lexus) and rx8 are the same. While debugging myself i happen to find little to no match between the wiring diagram for the 1g-fe to whats been done. I am more concerned about the engine sensor wiring since the engine itself works fine just want to get the ecu error codes fixed.
Things i have noticed:
1) The diagram suggests nothing at B-25,B-26 yet the cam sensor has been connected there, removing it causes no rpm/oil pressure response on the display also obd2 wont read errors then.
2) B-13 is supposed to be an ac relay yet a water coolant temp sensor is connected while the other wire leads to A-16.
the A-16 wire was recently done by me while trying to figure out where it got disconnected from before, whats even interesting is the ecu does give a coolant temp value while utilizing these pin outs and the AC does trigger as well. Removing it and the coolant shows a -40 where as the ac does not trigger either.
Why am i bothered? well the very first reason being i am getting a 7km/l average in city (rich fuel mixture), the 1g-fe is supposed to give atleast 10-12. The only reason i can see is the high input on knock sensor and the ocv not working properly thereby giving a negative timing advance mostly. Had to rewire the ocv thrice the sensor works in itself but i am not sure about its wiring.
PS forgot to take the pic of my ecu, will post it next time i open it up
