Sorry for the late reply. Actually I have the Internet facility only at office. I try to stay away from computer when home.
I took my new arrived Celestron C8 which I bought from ebay. It's an 8" SCT telescope. I don't have any picture of it on sight because it was dismantled before we took pictures. Here's a picture of it and it's tripod when it arrived.
The weather was especially playing with me at night. Whenever I tried to catch something in the telescope, the clouds would cover specifically that area. But still I was able to glance at Jupiter - shining amazingly, Orion Nebula and some other objects.
After that I dozed off. I am a strange Astronomer - I can not resist sleep and I am scared of dark places alone. So you can guess!!! Zain always have complaint against me for that.
I woke up at about 4am when the sky was crystal clear. At that moment Zain showed me a galaxy (I think it was M81 in Ursa Major - Zain, correct me if I'm wrong) in Obsession and that was enough to get me out of my sleep.
I mistakenly dismantled my telescope well before others did and so missed the opportunity to get it photographed.
Overall it was a wonderful experience especially with new friends. Zain did a wonderful job of coordinating between two different groups i.e. KaAS and PakWheels. Well done Zain!
I will again thank you all for your wonderful company and am looking forward to having more gathering like this.
