This is my favourite tea spot. A must to go there for tea after having lunch at Pirsohawa, whenever I am in Islamabad. This place is in NWFP-- I can't recall if it is District Mansehra or Haripur?

Spotted another Mazda 808. This shows the 'pasandeedgi factor' of this car amongst people driving in a comparatively difficult terrain and without having proper maintenance facilities.

Another 808 was parked adjacent to hotel premises. The front frame was broken. This Mazda had a Karachi numberplate. Now I know why Mazda 808, 818 and Corolla 74~82 have almost disappeared from Karachi roads

Entering Saidpur Village:

Saidpur is a 4 or 5 hundred years old village nestled in the Margalla hills overlooking Islamabad. Built along the slope of the hills, and gradually creeping upwards, the village presents a picturesque view, particularly in the soft light of morning or afternoon sun.
Saidpur has been named after Said Khan, one of the the sons of Sultan Sarang Khan, the Gakhar chief of the Potohar region during Emperor Babur’s time. Emperor Jahangir’s memoir, Tuzke Jahangiri, mentions Jahangir halting at a place “beyond Rawalpindi”, on his way to Kabul. From his description it seems the place was Saidpur.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA)of Islamabad is developing Saidpur into a tourist attraction, and is spending nearly 400 million rupees on resurrecting the old village and giving it a quaint look with the hope of making it an attractive tourist's spot.[2] .

Exceed (Pvt.) Ltd. a "No-Limit" Construction Company accepted and completed the challenging project of “DEVELOPMENT OF TOURIST/MODEL VILLAGE AT SAIDPUR, ISLAMABAD” at the cost of PKR.9527.71 Million.
Sardar Hayaat Muhammad Khan Mandokhel the President & CEO of M/S Exceed (Pvt.)Ltd. made this project a reality which was the dream of Ex-Chairman CDA Kamran Lashari.
The scope of work included the demolition of hundreds of buildings, development of Dam/Water Retaining Structures, Concrete Repairs, Landscaping & Horticulture, Water Supply, Sewage works, Piling, Bridge Structures, Restoration & Conservation, Building works, Road Infrastructure, Electric works, Water Proofing & other civil works etc.
