AOA, i successfully completed my tour and reached back to KHI. i traveled from karachi-Sadiqabad-Jhang-Islamabad-Lahore-Jhang-Sadiqabad-Karachi and it is around 3900km, we were 4 family members on toyota corolla xli 2013 petrol and it costs arround RS=32000 petrol. On national highways and motorways average was 15km/L and overall average 13.6km/L.

My 2.0D used to give 11~12 km/L. But our driver used to do 14+ very easily.

Sorry for late response, there are two reasons i have not made separate thread.
1. I don't want to put redundant info on the servers of Pakwheels, as you have already uploaded enough information for all.
2. I was driving and my mom and dad are not fond of taking pics, so i have very few pics of trip which i have uploaded on facebook.

one more thing i want to share, while coming back road from sakhar to hydarabad was like hell, down road is broken from many places and all the trafic is using up road like two way roads, which wasted lot of time and also it was very tiring to drive on single road.

I think it will take 6 months to 1 year to finish this reconstruction of road in SINDH, traveling on such trips in these days is not advisable.

Taking inspiration from your thread, i also did two trips ie. in 2012 from Karachi-Lahore-Islamabad to Murree and Natiagali, and this year till Naran and back Karachi. In fact I have saved the link on my favorite bar and often enjoyed whenever having free time.
Previously my family was not very fond of road trips but after a short trip to Sukker in 2011 they agreed for a comparatively long trip in 2012. Then in 2013 I was free to plan a road trip till Naran and beyond. Now the postion is that my younger daugher(6 year old) is asking where we will be going next summer rather she is making her own program.
Anyhow salute to your efforts for creating such a milestone for others which is still alive!

Assalam Alaikum: Nothing is redundant on PW server when it comes to something above wheels, on the roads and about travel. Even the comments in car for sale section, like BoL, its very expensive, the car is good, the car is not good, are tolerated here.Thank you for your appreciation about my thread but it does not cover all aspects and sharing your experiences will be always helpful for your PW brothers.Now, coming to respected parents. Let me tell you a trick. Whenever you plan your next trip, start showing some 'full-of-pictures' threads to Mom and Dad and believe me they will photograph every road, turn, curve and ramp during the tour.The sector you have mentioned is as it is for the last 20 years. It is just because of this part, that I am unable to make my mind for another cross-country road tour with family.Best wishes!

I would love to go Kashmir but reluctant due to lack of knowledge regarding road conditions, travel time/distances and hotels info etc.. Because when you are traveling with family comprising of kids from 2 to 13 years of age you must be very accurate about your destination and above mentioned facts. May be I can reach Rawlakot but after that I am totally unfamiliar. Any how from today I will start exploring PW forums to gather as much info as possible about this route.

Lastly Creativity is an art but some creations in every walk of life become Master piece and have infinite life, RZ?s tour is one of those.

The same Thing I had to go through as I was travelling with family so I was extra careful but the single road was like ........ I thought karachi tk yeh aziat bardasht karni paray gi but after morro it was much better obviously not like punjab bus guzara hogaya...

First, Masha Allah for Master Ezaan, and our best duaas and wishes! This picture also demonstrates your camera-clicking skills.

As for Kashmir, yes the best way is to read PW threads. The applications in smart phones have made maps, locator and GPS available for us. Kashmir is very beautiful and much economical if compared to Galliaat, Naran and Kaghan. My planning is simple--- start at the earliest hour, mostly right after Namaz-e-Fajr with intention to break the journey around Namaz-e-Asr. But this 'pagalpan' somethings just makes us to ignore all safety plans.

The areas of upper / lower Dir, Waziristan, Kala Dhaka are also worth visiting and economical--- but Thar has its own appeal -- especially the post-rain scenario.

I will try to load few more pictures from my last visit as soon as I get computer access from my kids at home.

Yes you are right sygic is very good application but no one should completely rely on this, me too missed southern bypass of multan just because of sygic. but sygic also helped me in finding my cousin's home in islamabad.

I was following route instructed by sygic and when i reached center of Multan city then following message of RZ bhai came into my mind but that was very late :(. Then sygic also helped me to get out of the Multan.

You should skip Multan and take Khanewal bypass from Lodhran.

I was also stucked twice in multan but this year I noted in my diary about the bypass hints like when you are coming from Khanewal and approaching Multan, the first bypass on your right is Northern bypass then after a kilometer so there is a round about mentioning Bhawal pur(left) is southern bypass. If you are coming from Lodhran side and approaching Multan the right turn from the very first round about you hit is southern bypass.Please correct me if I am wrong.
Anyhow if you entered in Multan then a link road for local transport to Southern bypass is a superb and beautiful road which is runing all along the canal but this is single road and from both sides traffic is quite fast moving.

SALAM I WENT FOR MY FIRST EVER ROAD TOUR IN JUNE LAST YEAR AND FOR THAT I DID ALOT OF HOME WORK THANKS ALOT TO THE PAKWHEELERS ESPECIALLY RAZA BHAI,HANIF BHAI AKA LIBRA:-)
I MADE A SEPARATE THREAD AS WELL AS WENT THROUGH VARIOUS THREADS INCLUDING MR.RZ'S TOUR THREAD.
AS I HAD A VERY MINOR EXPERIENCE OF CAR SAY BOUT 8000 KMS SO IN THE FIRST TOUR I WAS STRICTLY FOLLOWING RULES AND SPEED LIMITS.
AND BY THE GRACE OF ALMIGHTY ALLAH WE HAD AWONDERFUL TRIP.
MY ADVICE TO ALL PWERS AS TO WHEN EVER YOU GO ON THE ROAD START WITH DUA E SAFAR AND PLZ FOLLOW SPEED LIMITS:-)
