i dnt think M5 is that slow,there are vents on the fender but then the driver must have been really bad cause i dnt think that impreza can give that distance to an M5,i really doubt it.
The M5 was owned for sure.
all things being equal it will b a cold day in hell that an impreza beats a M5......i love imprezas but one cant argue with physics
Twisted it depends on a lot of factors. In this particular case its was a 400m drag and M5 is not meant for drags.

m5 makes 500bhp...wats the impreza make ??? ....m5s do 0-100mph in approx 10sec....theres no way a impreza is going to match that unless its modified.....

read it...still dont think itll beat a M5.....awd turbocharged cars r notoriously difficult to get off the line fast consistantly....and a normaly aspirated car will always kill a turbo charged car on a rolling start.
Like hello what are you HIGH? Read before you post. It was not on a Roll it was from a stand still. Have you ever driven a WR1 or the M5? No offence but you should. Just like the laws of Physics you need to get your facts straight before arguing. It doesnt matter what you think. No offence. We are all here to learn.
ive driven imprezas ive driven a Mercedes e55 amg which has similiar performace to a M5 ........standing start or rolling start regardless of what a spec sheet reads...real world performance is different. If youve driven a M5 and impreza i take it back as u have first hand experience
Twisted i drive a 8th Gen civic and that 2 an automatic. And spec sheets are different than real world performance? Would love to know who and what are the factors that would be affected the most?
well things like air temperature--fuel--road surface---launch technique---driver skill are all what would be considered confounding variables. AWD turbocharged cars are terrible for getting bogged down when u dont have enough revs dialed in at launch....to much revs and u can have trouble with wheel spin....a small capacity hi output engine is by its very nature peaky...so its harder to hit the sweet spot. Thus it is difficult to replicate numbers consistently in cars like evos and impreza. Lovely cars but no match for a 500bhp normaly aspirated v10...we all like to believe in the underdog...and yes the impreza punches way above its weight.....but a little real world perspective goes a long way...
WoW. And ofcourse factors like power to weight ratio's is of no consequence. By air and fuel you mean the af ratio's or simply the conditions?Its naturally aspriated not normally aspirated. I have never been a fan of the underdog period. Seems like your real life experience/experiences would be different than most or the majority of the folks.Happy Motoring
@:twisted2fit: well u kno it was drag race n M5 got terrible launched even if the dsc or traction control is on....plus euro M5 got launch control but i donno which one is it......on the other hand it's Pak road r not tht grippy for reawheel drive so again awd got advantage to get off the line n plus these scoooby r pretty quick n one the best car handling car too....m not saying M5 will lose it depend on driver skill too plus look at the weight differences....thumbs up for Scooby to win n it got lucky to beat M5 cheers

Not taking it personal at all. No need to. Sarcasm never really helped anyone. Doesnt look like a typo and please correct me if im wrong you were the one for said for starters laws of physics. Then it was somthing about the 0-60 timings of the M5 which a stock WR1 couldnt do under any circumstances. Out of breath. Dont wanna waste more time. The shitest cars ever made share the common factor being AWD's and Forced induction. Satisfied? You and all you theories are correct.
