Safe way to hire rent a car without driver

hi, Assalam u Alaikum,
i am an overseas Pakistani,
i visit Lahore for 1 month once every year,
and i rent a car, without driver for 1 month,
the company i rent with has closed,
now i am looking for another company or person, not a fraud, who is dishonest (there are unavoidable ways to scam customers in rent a car business),
any suggestion?
one idea going through my mind is "buy a car, give to uber or careem, before coming for vacation, take it back, and than once i finish vacation, give it back to uber or careem, is it a good idea?

As far as I know you can't just "give a car to uber/careem" youd have to trust a person/organization with it ,not to mention if car is used in some illegal activity , if its in your name you might come back to a couple of arrest warrants in your name.

When your here search on google visit a couple of rent a car places use your best judgement and go from there.

When youve finalized a deal before driving of take detailed pictures of car any scratch dent anything , make sure they see you taking pics and make sure its on their premises and background is visible. If they try to charge you later for any unseen damages you will have proof
