Al Manzar= The fish is NOT freshly caught, its from the fish farms. The taste is of Spices not the fish meat.

Walykum salam from chino hills california,i visited Hyderabad way back in 1960'swhen i was probably 12 yrs old,loved the trip,i stayed at my uncle's place he was a professor in the Hyderabad Polytech. Institute then, we went to sukkur and went to a resturant (i forgot the name) ,it was right at the barrage,was fun!

well i have been to hyderabad many times during mid seventees & early eightees, made last trip in 1991, by-passed in 2002 on my way to sewan shareef.

what about "salaateen restaurant"... was very famous in seventees & eightees. i remember places like thandi-sarak, chhoti gitti, gari khata, kacha qila, raani bagh, bandooq wala bakery (funny name).......... & things like coffee cake of bombay bakery, bangles, rilliaan (bed spreads), aati jati, bangles, etc etc.... we also purchased a car from hyderabad back then, a toyota sprinter (re-conditioned) from rufi motors.

nice to hear someone from hyderabad...
