Theres so much inflation these days so dont go by being cheap with your hired workers as its very difficult for these people to live on 5-6,000 w/out including food!
Most drivers will find a way to take extra money from you in car repairing work or oil changes or fueling up etc they will get you one way or another. If you want your driver to be loyal with you and work hard etc, offer decent salary with food and compensate with more money if w/out food knowing that he will need more time to himself to organize, purchase and prepare it etc and will be in a bad mood if you make him wait a long time and he has to purchase at some hotel too specially w/low salary.
If find a good person offer to pay their childrens school fee's / book fee's etc but get the receipt and pay yourself they will appreciate it a lot or give some incentive that if they spend so many years with you that you will give them a certain amount of money bonus or a plot somewhere doesnt have to be big thing and will have less hassle.
But if you dont mind changing drivers every few months or dealing with their moods and are cheap then you can get away with a low salary as unemployed are always in big number and drivers are a lot, just be sure to keep a copy of their shinati card and drivers license and get some reference of place they worked before as well just in case.
