1
Inspect your vehicle for any gas leaks prior to beginning. Drill a small hole in the exhaust pipe approximately 4 to 6 inches from the rear of the pipe. This hole should be large enough to accommodate the threaded end of the sparkplug.
2
Screw the sparkplug into the hole. Remove the tip from the threaded shaft and securely fasten the wire then replace the tip.
3
Run the length of the wire along the undercarriage and attach the end to one side of the on/off switch. The type of switch you use is up to you: it can be a toggle or push button switch. The switch needs two connecting points and will be used to control the flame thrower. Securely mount the wire to the undercarriage so that it will not get caught in moving parts.
4
Attach an insulated wire to the other side of the switch. Run the wire through the firewall and attach to the positive battery terminal.
5
Mount the on/off switch into the dash or center console. You may need to drill a hole in the dash or console to mount the switch.
6
Crank the engine and use the switch to activate the flame thrower. This application is not intended for nor will it result in a constant flame. Fuel vapors and electrical output will only allow for short bursts of about 10 to 20 seconds in duration.....
