Santro back to good

Hello everybody.
I drive a santro 2002 it has no proper maintanance history but has following problems

1)car engine leaks oil badly even the gearbox.
2)shocks have been replaced but no other suspension maintinance
3)engine block head has been faced twice once due to heat up and the second time it went for a ring job,now the actual problem is that engine feels healthy now but reduces oil and these is slight smoke when cold,car runs on cng mostly.

My questions
1)what do i need to keep in mind fixing leaks?
2)Is it advisible to ask the mechanic to work at my place?so i can monitor work amd share with you guys?
3)is it worth rebuilding the orignal engine?its running on 20/50 zic hiflo oil fan direct no thermostate and coolant
Please advice and enlighten me with does and donts

Your first port of call is a reliable mechanic even if he is a bit more expensive that the other guy. Next is to find a shop that sells quality spares. I own a Kia Spectra and I have found our that there are generally three quality of spares - 1) Original Hyundai/Kia factory parts. 2) Korean replacement parts and the worst is 3) Chinese replacement parts.

Your "reliable" mechanic has to advise you as to what work needs to be done and based on this advice you have to decide how to proceed to the next step - get the work done at home or at his shop etc. You have not mentioned your location therefore further assistance is difficult to provide.

what is your location, in PK. you need to some DIY. wash & clean the under carriage and identify the oil leakage points, engine oil leakage & transmission fluid leakage are 2 different things. however bad OIL seals cause seepage. morning blue smoke, are most likely bad valve seals

for parts the Chaudry autos saddar they have almost everything for santro
and mechnic now that is a tricky one but ask chaudry guys their one mechnic fixes my friends santro

1. Identify place and get genuine Seal Kit...Keep In Mind changing seal might need to open things quiet more...even gearbox
2. He will need tools....so better goes to his place and keep an eye there....
3. get thermostat and auto fans....if its smoke in morning then its valve seals leaking....replace them and check...no need to rebuild if compressions are good

Can anyone guide me with compression test how do i perform it?let me add the oil pan chamber seal was replaced but it started leaking again the second day and now the oil is like spilled everywhere i will get it cleaned and check the affected areas and share with you guys.the mechanic advised me to take off the engine for leaks.the problem is that due to leaks i cant comclude wheather car is eating oil or what.

Compression tester is available if you never seen any for like 2-3k on tool shops....else a good mechanic should have it....

the reason its leaking is because mechanics use Desi Golaganda color SeeliCOne (Silicon) to seal or use old broken seals resulting in this...cleaning old place completely and then using new genuine seals will resolve that issue....!
