Santro problem on Petrol

Deal Experts My Santro 2003 run fine and smooth on Cng but it is not smooth on petrol. It do missing sort of thing by increasing race it became smooth. Means while shifting gear or at startup it does missing..

What could be the possible cause ?

Most probably the fuel pump of your car is not functioning properly. At times when one drives too much on CNG, this problem occurs.

Also get fuel injectors of your car checked. Hopefully this would solve the problem.

Try get all the sensors cleaned. that should fix the problem and do drive on petrol for a while.

Check the air filter housing for blokage.

i was having the same prob. with my mehran....its a problem of carborator (don't know the spelling) let it be cleaned ..n ask a mechanic as well..

Yes the air flow is blocked half a way with tape..

Can the sensored be cleaned be our selves or we have to go to workshop..in case of workshop please suggest good workshop in lahore...

Remove the tap from the air intake ur problem will be solved,but u will have to readjust the CNG setting accordingly.

Sensors can be cleaned by washing them thoroughly with any carburetor cleaner fluid. or go to any 3s they'll do the same for you in engine tuning.

whats so funny about it.....

anyways i once faced similar problem im my santro there was missing on petrol on low rpms ans was fixed by mingling with the jack that leads to coils. there are two joints or jacks on the right side of the engine besides the point where plugs wires are fitted in the engine, clean those contacts and ur problem might solve. worked in my case......
