Santro Speed Throttle Stuck

I have recently purchased a 2002 model Santro Plus (MPFI). This type of model did not come with CNG Kit installed. The person from whom I have bought this had the CNG Kit fitted later, manually. The problem is that on petrol the car remain in high RPM even when idle, as if its speed throttle is stuck. When on CNG it behaves the same except that after 5 or 6 seconds the RPMs returns to the normal range. This constant high RPM are also causing a little bit of over heating. The accelerator pedal wire is fitted right, I have checked it under hood as well. Don't know what's the problem. Could it be the ECU?

or some say throttle sensor.... its the samething. try cleaning it. it usually resolves it...

Can ordinary workshops deal in such stuff or should I take it to the authorized dealers only?

Hi,

From Carby point of view, there can be two things affecting,
bcoz there would be some alternate function made in MPFI.

1 - There is one Screw in throttle that adjusts the speed (accelerator related), that might need to set.

2 - There is one throttle screw that is used to fix the Stand-By fuel. This one is long one. In Khyber, I need to get closer than brake drum/viper connection to see it rightly.

^^i am facing this problem in khyber!!its rpm increases on petrol and on cng it remains fine!!plz tell me what to do???

I know that you are referring to but as I said the throttle returns to the normal stage once its idle for 5 to 6 seconds. Which means that the screws are okay at their place. It's probably something inside the engine that is reading the values wrong. Probably what "wala" might be referring to. I update the thread once I get it checked up.

adjust the petrol idle screw on your car's carb....

Find someone with good Electronic Mastery not only mechanic and I think you need to search.
As EFIs and MPFIs are electronically controlled and someone who reads and knows the measurement of electronic signals.

Bro, the general rule is to get the engine adjusted for petrol first, and then adjust CNG according to that. So get it tuned first.

you have an air leak in your intake area. look around the area where the cng pipe goes into the throttle, normally has silicone all around it. check it yourself or get it checked. nothing wrong with your ecu.

Problem : Its common problem in santro, My santro car has same problem. Its RPM increases when i push the clutch for changing gear.
Solution :
1.) Just making the RPM control screw to zero
2.) clean the throttle body

its removed the problem , car become silent and running nice with no increase in RPM during clutch press .
