Santro Starting Coil problem

I was facing the problem of low mileage on my Santro Plus 2002, went to a CNG mechanic for this, he adjusted the CNG but also told me that "gaari ka starting coil short hay issi liyay gari missing karti hay electrician se check karao" , When I asked him which starting coil he pointed somewhere near the spark plugs.

After he told me this I realized that sometimes it does happen that second ya third gear main gari uthti nai hay aur missing karti hay this happens much more on petrol and not so much on gas.

What i wanted to ask is that was the guy right ? and what exactly is the function of this starting coil in the car ? and what will it cost me to repair/replace this coil of my santro 2002 ?

there is nothing called a starting coil in your car - your car has a distributor (if your car shape resembles an army boot) - and has a coil with a line filter and ignitor on it, they both are a pain to replace. You need to remove the inlet manifold to extract them out

Hyundai shop (called Hyundai Sowan Motors..near Bahria Town/GT road rawalpindi)...is damn expansive (but genuine for sure)...much better is Imran Autos near Kamran Market Saddar. Rawalpindi...they got the same quality parts (genuine as Hyundai Shop's) but with much lower price tags.....so if money is NOT ur problem go to Hyundai Shop...otherwise be aware

please go to Mithu Da Hata near kamran markit Saddar RWP and get from Muslim Qazi shop.these coils are used in Korea but are best in use.

go to some better electrician who is famous for santro or efi.. to identify your exact problem.. sometimes this happens coz of weak wires if u r from rw/isb go to Arshad Ustab at sultan khoo

and dont go to some "phudo" mechanic/electrcian he will fire ur ECU in wiring play..most mechanics r fx/mehran mechanics n they r injurious for ur car
