Hi everyone. Recently, I have been facing a situation. Whenever I park my car in sunlight, my santro's temp interior temperature increases and the horn starts to blow by itself. The car's steering is the original one that comes in Santro and the horn part of the steering swells up/expands due to heat which I think is the main reason for this. This never has occured when my car is under the shade or at home. I have had an electrician check the horn and there is no shorting of wires. That's quite a humiliation when you have parked your car outside office and the car's horn start to blow by itself so loud. I have to disconnect the horn everytime I fail to park it in shade.
So what should I do to avoid this? I have tried to place some reflector shade over the dashboard and horn but still no use. Should I change my steering and replace it with those custom Type-R ones available in the market? What will be the cost? Any other suggestions. Thank you.
PS: It is almost impossible to find a shady parking outside my office.
