Without much thought anyone would say it is a good decision however the way things work here they will probably demolish the building and leave it at that.

The area will be a garbage dump for the next 100 years.

Just look at the park in F 7 where the mini golf club was going to be made , at the time everyone was like "great decision" , this that , well that "park" is a dump now. Weeds , hemp , plastic bags and mud. So much better eh?

If they follow through and clean up the area after kicking McDonald's out , demolishing their building and what not , that will be positive. I just don't see that happening.

I dont think so this is a very great decision. Restaurants should be allowed be in Park . Enterance from park inside should be made as well. Way the park was allotted was an unfortunate one. Instead of giving it to Multinational , open bidding should have been done. Citizen club is being built in F-9 Park as well . I think its effected with this decsion too. About Billion PKR have been spent. If SC decides to demolish it as well, then they should hang the people who made the controversial decision. Its OUR money. Kamran Lashari have done a lot for Islamabad. Since I moved to Islamabad in 2004, things changed a lot. It might be a wrong decision by him, but atleast he did some thing as compared to other chairmen who are never bothered to take either of the step

This is exactly what I think. Remember what Islamabad was before 2003? Nothing... I really mean nothing. After they developed Monal, Daman-e-Koh, Saidpur Village and Lake view Park. People from all around Pakistan started to visit Islamabad regularly. One can notice on weekend too many people from Lahore and surrounding pouring into Islamabad. Considering the amount of increase in investment and tourism in Islamabad, One can easily forgive the bad decisions of Lashari.

there are many bigger issued that need their attention but they are simply avoiding these issues just like seasoned politicians.

Mcdonald is in jinnah park and in f9 park...
lots of other resturant and cafes are in islambad....islamabad is toooo small as compared to karachi but i think we hav more fast food corners as compared to u living in a big city (m talking abt the ratio of city size to the fast food corners)....... so better not talk when u know nothin.....

Khair anyways...at the end of the day, Mcdonalds serves worst tasting food ever. Local fast foods of Rawalpindi and Islamabad are far better than KFC and Mcdonalds. I don't know what's with the hype of Mcdonalds in Pakistan? In Usa, its a poor man's food.
But Supreme court's decision is simply not fair.
