Guys! saw this Ad in today's Jang newspaper. Do you think aftermarket Immobilizer will help reducing car thefts? So far, it is well proven that cars with Immobilizer like Liana & Civic have lowest theft ratio as compared to Corollas etc. My question is that will this after market Immobilizer equally effective or it will prove to be just another steelmate type kit for thieves.

Asad bhai,they are just deceiving new buyers by saying it an immobilizer instead of tracker,you very well know,an actual one work with the ecu,neither it needs to be hidden somewhere out of reach nor affected by threat of jammers.

Exactly! I was also thinking the same that what an immobilizer has to do with metallic shield or jammer????? Looks more like a scam to rip off pockets in the name of Immobilizer & Fuel Saving Kit. Car theft is a burning topic these days & again lack of knowledge or innocence will be exploited as usually happens here. Sadly, this half page ad is on the front page of Jang & I am sure a lot of Corolla, Cultus & Mehran owners will fall into the trap. 5000 tracker will be sold in 50000 by putting it in a metallic shield...
