My wheels alignment was always a bit off and we never fixed it.... recently got new wheel bearings and somehow the wheel alignments were WAYYYY off. (Like previously it was slightly swaying to the left but now its going left alot) took it for a alignment and the guy charged me for aligning it and the guy also charged me money for wheels sticking out so he needed to put it back into place. The car STILL sways and the tyre guy said that the wheel bearing guy didnt put the tyre correctly as the left one has a 2 finger gap between the tyre and car and the right one has a 3 finger gap between em. So i wanted to know:
- Should the guy not have charged me for putting the tyre in the right place? Because he was going to align it anyways. Or is that 2 seperate works? Like putting the tyre back in and then aligning them.
2.is this a genuine problem that should fix the swaying.
(The swaying decreased a LITTLE after alignment and also the tyres were leveled and straight as well)
Edit: wheel bearing were for seperate issue.
Edit 2: left wheel is the 2 finger space one right has way more
Also this problem has been this severe only AFTER the wheel bearing work so idk if he tampered with something or what not.
I now the caster and toe seems all right but caster is totally off. The alignment person charged 500 for one then 400 for another and did 1k for last but then we didn't do it. When i got to know of this i was glad we didn't do it but does anyone have any advice on what i should be looking out for?
