Schools in Karachi

Salam all ,

I am looking for admission of my child in a good school in Karachi. I have on my list

Foundation Public School
Generation's School
HeadStart
Beacon House.

I have heard good reviews about foundation but I have heard for generation's that now they have many many sections and have become too commercialised . Beacon house again is now become bungalow school.

I am very confused . Please help and share your experiences.

I studied from KPS Stargate Branch. Batch of 2009

KPS is really good school.

Why are people so worried about her "location", just reply her with some "solid" suggestion if you can.

You'll first have to specify which locality you'll be residing in and how long of a commute you're willing to bear. My older son went to Generations' for a couple of years. We (the parents) really like the school as its (a) not commercialized (b) has a Islamic inclination and (c) has a disciplinary environment. What we dont like about the school is that (we feel) that the teachers are little less experience (for the junior classes at least).

Right now both my kids are going to Springfield in KDA Scheme I. It's pretty good, non-commercialized and focused attention. Highly recommended.

Foundation Public School is good, a few friends kids go there. Our biggest problem with the school was that they have multiple campuses and the kids would rotate through 3 of them from Nursery to A Levels. Because of my kids ages, at times we would have to drop one kid to the Defence campus and the other one at the PECHS campus. A bit of a run around.

Beconhouse and Headstart are okay, better than most but commercialized.

Other schools that I'd consider are Indus Academy, Haque Academy, City School (PAF Chapter) etc.

BTW, admissions in most schools are closed for this year. The only ones one would be Beconhouse, Falconhouse etc. and that too only certain campus locations.

If you can afford and gets admission, I would suggest none other than Karachi Grammar School

If you Live near Defence Clifton ---- I will suggest INDUS ACADEMY.

BTW: whats the age of your Son/daughter ....... and your location in karachi ? or which locations are convenient for you to reach ?

Our son is going to World Academy which is near Mohata Palace, we looked around for several schools but in the end we were left with two options

CAS
World Academy

CAS we couldn't get in, World Academy we did and our son next month is going to be in class 1 Masha Allah, the principal of the school is Mrs Salma Aziz and she is quiet famous as she managed and administered CJM for a long duration and she brings her reputation to this new venture. Do stay away from City, Beacon, Bay View etc as they are more of a party zone than serious studying institutions in my opinion.

If you are religiously inclined than do look at Reflections which is near CJM, we did looked into it but it was too far and secondly our child would had come back home around 4'ish which we thought at his age would be too much.

Once our three months old daughter grows I will have no hesitation to get her in the same school (or CJM) The only other alternative i will definitely try for our son is KGS.
