I have been noticing these screens in Lahore from the past couple of days. They are being installed as a part of Punjab safe city project. Anyone knows what benefit they can be for us? I personally think they can only be useful for commuters if they display current weather or traffic update . I saw these for the first time on canal road before mall road and dharampura exit but they normally stay off.Let's see what they do with them. Any one having accurate info please update here.

Maybe advertising or traffic updates.
I really hope we get traffic update on these screens. Advertising on them would be a waste of money
They are basically displaying traffic regulations ,like " fasten your seat belts " , "remain in your lane" and one more i remember " keep your ride clean "there's screen near almost every underpass at canal road.
What a waste of money then if this is what they were installed for.
Most probably a 'theka' to a dear and people's money went down the drain.
I suspect the same thing
