Searching for a rotary engine in pakistan

hey guyz well im in sydney at the moment this is where i live but due to my parents i have to move bak to pakistan really soon but i was wonderin if u guyz know anythin bout rotary engines they r built by mazda n i was wonderin if people r using them they r the BEST OF BEST PERFORMANCE engines u can get since ive been here ive had alot of fast cars cars capable of 10 sec marks wif rotary engines n other moods like big azz turbo like GARRETT TO4 or GT42 i dnt even think any one in pakistan r using these turbos thats y i need info on wats avaailble as ill be in pakistan for 3 years so i wana have a quick car i did ove here till i sold it

U can get everything and anything you want in pakistan ... either u should have loadsa money ... or you have some money and connections.

I've seen RX7s in Pakistan ... but most of them had blown engine. True rotary engines are excelent performance wise ... but you have to be really careful about their maintainance ... if u screw up a little bit ... u'll have a blown engine.

Also since only production car rotory engine are made by mazda, there isn't a huge market for its parts. Things like highperformance rotors and rings n everything ... there are very little choices that you have ... and you have to be exactly sure what kinda application u want those parts for (street, race etc).

so I guess u like rotory engines ... thats kewl ... they'r an amazaing part of machinary ... but calling 'em ultimate? ... well ... maybe for u ... to each his own.

but u cant get it yet
as its too damn exp with duties
and i think u can get Rx8 in that price

and its the only engine which has the size of 1300 cc and
delivers power of 2600cc

thanx guyz for the usefull info..yeah i already know they need high maintance n all caz ive had a few of em here in AUS..theres no way i would want a rx8 engine any way its shit the most likely i would want would be the series 4 rx7 motar or the series6 but i still woundnt wana pay all that money for it i think ill import one ma self or mite even bring one from here... ma main worry is is there any one in pakistan that can rebuild em caz its not easy if thats the case then its good u can have a rotar in pakistan without a problem....n when it comes to rotarys being ultimate my friend u havent seen som crazy rotaries that i seen capable of runing 7 sec quartermile offcourse there r other engines that r good too but considering its a small engine

NO doubt rotorys are really good and ofcourse for their size they have the world's best hp to cc ratio. But it comes with its drawbacks. Since its only used in Mazda's its not considered a mainstream item so its not as reliable as piston engines. Sometimes only the 2nd-best technology becomes popular ... cuz we'r all played by the economies of the corporate world. Remeber the VHS vs Beta Tape story in the early 80s? Beta tapes were superior to VHS tapes but they failed and VHS prevailed ... same with rotory vs piston engines.

Also in my opinion RX8 engine would be better because a lot of technological issues have been resolved (which were problematic in the RX7s). So its more reliable and effient. For example the RX8 uses a side exit for the exhaust gases. This design gets all the exhaust out. in RX7 engine designs some of the exhaust gasses were left behind in every cycle. Also the metalergy of the engine and rotors have improved drastically and the new engines are more reliable and u don't have to change rotors every 60k miles

i agree on wat u said bro but also its not only bout the exhuast n that its alot more then that it depends on the rotars apex seals the springs if u do everythin aftermarket the engine should be alrite either way rx8 or rx7 it depends how its built n who built theres so many thing u can do to em its not funny n also most performance cars either use the 13 b turbo engine or the 20b triple rotar engine for there best times so yeah

hey man i should tell you you dont need that lot of a money for a rx 8 it will cost you Rs 2.2million including Rs200000of registraton charges and Rs200000 for the first token on ur ride.as a matter of fact i am thinking of buying one soon

hello MR_ROTA.the problem with rotary engines in pakistan is that first the operating temperature of rotary engine is very high as compared to piston engines so roatries r not very happy in pakistan.secondly u cant get rotary engines oil or plugs etc so regular maintenance is also difficult.
but if u still want i think ill b able to arrange something special for u.i think a 13b roatry turbo will b something like 150000 to 200000 and thats in rupees.

hey DATPAK how u doin man...well im finding out info on importing cars in pakistan caz im in pakistan now i want a rx7 series 6 not a rx8 caz they r all show NO go...well yeah if it comes to it that i cant get the car here then im sure im gona get the engine.... one thing wat series is the engine gona br frm like for example series 5 or 6 which one n wat kinda turbo

yeah nissan sr20 isnt a bad motar alot of potential wif a big turbo lets c wat happens but rotars will be rotars just the sound makes other pisston cars piss them selves
