Seat belt wont click in!

Hello guys,

My 8 year old car's seat belt wont click in!! I am absolutely not confident driving without seat belt put on but i cant! The buckle would go in normally but won't click into its place. Can i fix it on my own? I would prefer to do a DIY. Should i put in a drop or two of oil?

should i use WD40 or few drops of oil? I believe the two are opposites of each other, right? or may be i should use oil after WD40?

Open the plastic cover of the seat belt lock latch and look for a spring. It must be out of place or too tight due to dirt. Release it off with a sharp tipped tool, spray some WD40 and click in/out a few times. Good to go!

Thanks a lot fawad. I know i can always count on u it was tooo damn hard to open the cover so i just put in some WD40 and off we go... it works as good as new Thanks a lot ...
