Got an email that a breach has occurred, need some more information on

Who got the data and what type of personal information has been exposed ???

My best guess is emails, passwords and mobile number are compromised...

The breach was not as directed at Pakwheels.. the issue was with V bulletin.. the platform on which Pakwheels or any other forum run.. so anything that was on V bulletin board work.. was affected.

That's why it was requested via a mass email to change your password. Same as an email was sent by Yahoo when more than billion emails were compromised due to security breach.

This breach might only exposed password to login to the forum.. this breach is not breach of your personal email as far as I know.. in other words.. if security compromised of any member.. it's related to Forum only..

Again as I said the entire V bulletin was having possible breach.. it was not exclusively directed at Pakwheels.

Got an email but didnt change the password. So i shouldnt be worried if its only PWs id and password

Stay Safe !!!

If you get any email from Pakwheels / Banks/ FB or anything asking you to change your Password delete it
If you have the same password in a number of sites, suggest change them all
